Its about time I can't wait! "Can you believe it’s been more than 6 years since the last original half-hour episode of "Futurama" aired? Well, the wait is almost over. As previously reported, Comedy Central announced last year that they ordered 26 new episodes of the show and now the network has set a premiere date. HitFix is reporting that the show will premiere on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. It’s unclear at the moment whether all 26 episodes will serve as a season (which would be its sixth) or be spread across two seasons. The highest episode order the show ever received came in season two (20 episodes)" http://trekmovie.com/2010/03/07/sci-fi-tv-sunday-lost-v-smallville-fringe-legend-of-the-seeker-sgu-futurama-more/

I heard that none of the original voice actors were going to be in it though.

After the atrocities the movies were I wouldn't be surprised if nobody wanted to be back on it. It's a real shame, too.

It won't be the same without the original voice actors. Without them, it wont even be 'proper' Futurama anymore. It'll be just another 'Simpsons-animation style' sitcom.

If it's anything like the movies, it will be terrible. Both Family Guy and Futurama were much better before they were cancelled. I can't stand to watch the cookie cutter run two Family Guy (or its TWO IDENTICAL CLONES American Dad and the Cleveland Show) and the Futurama movies made me sad. Even the Simpsons are starting to get lame.
More comedy less political goldbricking, kthx. Seth McFarland also strikes me as the kind of guy I'd like to sock in the face in person.

IIRC American Dad was the show he was initially going to make, and then changed it into family guy. I dunno, I prefer Stan over Peter.

Why do some of you hate the movies? They were great! I can't wait for the series to come back. Don't know how I'll see it though...I don't have Comedy Central.

So apparently, the new season of Futurama premiered yesterday. Hopefully it won't be long until we brits get to see it. Was it worth the wait though?

Heck yes! Back and better than ever. I can't even begin to imagine the other stuff they'll be able to get away with on CC.

Well they said they won't be doing anything they couldn't on Fox. But they'll be doing things more then they were allowed to do on Fox.
Like lets say they couldn't say ass more then 4 times on Fox. They could do it more on CC.

Futurama's okay (although I do love Bender), but I never really scheduled myself to watch it like I do with The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show.

Don't remember where I saw this but, it was mentioned that so far the ratings have been the highest in series history and biggest viewership that CC has had on Thursday night...ever.
