hmm. On MY comp that would probably take three days to render. Looks incredible though. As close to movie quality as anything. ;]

A little experiment (that did start annoying me after awhile cheeky).

You ought to add in a couple of purple ambient lights in there. For such a vividly purple environment, it's definitely lacking.

These renders wouldn't be possible if it weren't for SGA - 3D from SciFi Meshes for making this absolutely fantastic Atlantis and set-up. I just took the pretty pictures and flung the JLS Sovie in later. cheeky

I think that soveriegn is a tad on the large side, isn't Atlantis supposed to be the size of Manhattan?

I think they do say that at one point, but it's not. It's perhaps the size of a medium to large town. I did a rough calculation a while ago and got the tower being somewhere of the order of 1km tall, and each pier being roughly the same length as the tower is tall. It's nowhere near the size of a city.

still, that Sov is way too big, compared to a 1km tower, that sov would have a nearly 500m beam.

Note: The Sovie is almost double the distance away from Atlantis in the non-collision pic.

Here's what I would do for the scaling. Position the Sovereign so that one of it's windows is near one of Atlantis' and scale it from there.
